This blog is produced by Research and Instructional Support (RIS) liaisons for faculty to share and learn about innovative, effective and meaningful uses of technology and information literacy in teaching and learning.
RIS liaisons collaborate with faculty to include technology and research and other information skills into the classroom. We are passionate about teaching and using technology in appropriate, sustainable, innovative ways to enhance teaching and learning. We tailor our support to the varied teaching styles, content areas and learning goals of each instructor to
- identify new and emerging technologies that can enhance teaching and learning
- help design assignments that are sustainable and successful
- teach new technologies to both faculty and students
- develop student information fluency skills including accessing, evaluating and using information
Who is RIS?
Every academic department on campus has a RIS liaison who supports the instructional technology, research, and library collections needs for that department.
